Update on 27/11/2024:

Further to the notice below, we are pleased to advise that the repairs to the Sandfield Bridge navigation lights are complete.

The navigation will reopen tomorrow, Thursday 28th November at 8am as usual.

Original message:

The downstream canal navigation lights have been damaged (blown over) in the storm and the bridge is out of action and closed to boats. Engineers have been dispatched to make safe and isolate from the electrical supply.

The navigation light is currently lying on the towpath, should not be moved and given a wide berth when passing.
